ELLE Magazines' World Exclusive with Benefit! Free Gift!

Hey Beauties,

It's been a good month for freebies and magazines this month, I'm pleased!

When I saw this collaboration I had to purchase it, especially as the product isn't even available to buy until Boxing Day!

So, the December 2015 issue of ELLE Magazine (with the stunning Alexa Chung on the front cover in a rather spring time looking dress) came with the new Benefit They're Real Tinted Primer! WOW! I know, right!?
And it is pretty darn good, I'm thinking of buying a whole heap of ELLE Magazines' just to stock up on the Benefit Tinted Mascara Primer. Compared to what the mascara is going to cost I think £4.10 for a magazine (multiplied by however many you grab extra) is actually a pretty good deal - especially as the product itself doesn't come out until Boxing Day! BOXING DAY! That's the 26th December, why - oh - why tease us like this Benefit... :)

This is why ELLE think you should pick up the December copy whilst you still can "It does the separating, lengthening and boosting job you'd expect form a lash primer, to the point that any of your favourite mascaras worn over the top will almost look fake.
It is also mink coloured, so you can wear it alone on a makeup down day for a very natural look. Plus the fact that there is no glaring white base under your mascara makes us wonder why all primers aren't tinted brown.
It's the beauty product you didn't know you needed. But trust us, you really do".
The sample/mini is pretty generous, much like all Benefit sample/mini products (which is very much appreciated - thank you). The wand is the same as the They're Real Mascara wands; straight shaft and spherical at the tip. The wand itself is great for giving natural looking volume and length, it's also rather flexible which is another great plus.
I used this product alone for a few days now, the formula is amazing and it looks really nice and natural on, it had a brown tint so it also gives slight definition if you wear it alone. I have yet to use it with a mascara on top although (and of course) Benefit really recommend you use this with the corresponding mascara 'They're Real'. I've seen the promo photo's and it does seem like it can only be a good thing... no, a great thing!

Grab yourself an ELLE Magazine, it's full of fashion, beauty, make up, hair, health, basically 346 pages of gorgeousness. If that's not your thing but the Benefit tinted mascara primer is - then heck - just buy it for that and donate the magazine to your local doctors/dentists so they can have it available for their patients in the waiting room :)

Let me know what you think,
And let me know if you like these sort of Magazine & Beauty products posts :)

Makeup Academy (MUA) 'Undressed' Eyeshadow Palette

Hey Beauties,

This month I received the MUA Makeup Academy Professional Eyeshadow Palette in Undressed in my GlossyBox.  I'm not new to this brand, I have known and been using their products for many many years now and I am actually quite proud that they are using more mediums to get themselves known as they are such a great brand. Their products are great dupes in some cases, taking high end into affordable for many of us out there who can't justify spending so much money on one item.
GlossyBoxes Editorial Director, Evie Leatham had this to say about the palette, "From work day nudes to smouldering metallics, this beautiful palette is like a chocolate box of the eye colours. And it's just as hard to choose one delicious shade over another". Well - That didn't make me want chocolate at all - Not! Oh Gimme a Terrys Chocolate Orange, a Kit Kat Chunky, Maltesers and a Ferrero Rocher please.
The colours are subtle in this photo, see the top photo for real shades!
MUA themselves said, "A fabulous addition to the MUA Palette family, this one is the ultimate must have. It has a great combination of nude shimmers and mattes and the colour selection is great for creating this season’s clean, natural look with highly pigmented colours. Undressed is bang on trend with the spring summer runway filled with nude makeup looks". Personally I wish they hadn't of said "spring summer" because this palette can (and will) be used all year around, so don't let those spring summer words put you off at all. I actually think that some of the shades are perfect for autumn winter!
The shades all have names and they are; Puff, Rose Ash, Fawn, Gild, Hazel, Lion, Bronze Ore, Burnished Brown, Tawny, Henna, Fuel and Cool Grey. The great thing about these shades are that they compliment each other perfectly, regardless of what your going to be doing, if you have this with you - you can achieve a great look, whether you use just one shade or blend some together. They are flawless. Great pigmentation that can be built up to go extra bold, and I love the matte shade 'Hazel' which is perfect for a cut-crease and Tawny is just a perfect, perfect shade for autumn, it's just perfect. Oh and the Fuel shade is gorgeous! I absolutely love the black with little glistening particles that just shimmer slightly in the light. GORGEOUS!
Top Row Shades

Bottom Row Shades

I would highly recommend this palette, make sure you use it with an eye shadow primer to give the formula that extra staying power. The darker shades are hard to rub off by themselves though, it did take a bit of effort, I'm using that as a positive. For £4 you can't really go wrong with it, I would highly recommend this to you. You don't even have to go too far to get it, either online at muastore.co.uk (Link directly to the palette here) or on the Superdrug website.

Let me know what you think :)

GLAMOURous Freebies

Hey Beauties,

There has been a bit of hype within the beauty blogging community lately because the lovely Tanya Burr contacted the Editor at Glamour Magazine UK and asked to be a part of it! That took a lot of balls and damn I am proud of the woman. Know what you want and go - get it!

Along with the Tanya Burr interview/article and the amazing photos that were taken of her (and I mean amazing - If I remember rightly I think I read somewhere that Pixiwoo done her make up for the shoot) there were also four Clinque free gifts to choose from. Clinque Pop Lip Colour and Primer in Nude Pop and Cherry Pop, High Impact Mascara and Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion +. Glamour Magazine is only £2, so if you were to buy all 4 it would only cost you £8 rather than the £29 that the products are worth altogether saving you an amazing £21.

The first one I grabbed was the Lipstick in Nude Pop, it's a nice natural pinky-peach shade, that is silky and feels like satin. It's luxurious but then what else is there to expect from this high end, well established brand? Gorgeous. Gorgeous. Gorgeous. I've been wearing this shade every single day since I bought the magazine earlier this month, it's the perfect day-to-day colour.
Cherry Pop Lip Colour is AMAZING! The pigmentation, the staying power is unbelievable and the feel of it on is just, again, luxurious. It glides on smoothly (just like the Nude Pop), it's an amazing product. Perfect for day time with a classic eye and flawless skin or for evening/night, you can really wear this product in every setting I can think of and it will just look stunning. I love it.

Clinique High Impact Mascara is in Black, it definitely looks black (whereas some mascara's aren't a tense black - this one is). It gives the eyes a striking and bold finish. Again perfect for a classic natural look or going all out with all sorts of make up and eye creations. It's a standard full mascara wand (it doesn't look tapered to me, just a straight full brush), everyone can use it and there will be a good look with your lashes. 100%.
Lastly, the Moisturising Lotion +. It's of a medium thickness, melts into the skin quite nicely after a light massage and it feels like it's working straight away. Skin feels softer, smoother and looks more radiant. I'm not using this myself but my niece is who has very dry patches of skin on her face (forehead, cheeks and chin area). Her skin is dry/very dry in areas and it has helped dramatically. Don't be put off by the name - it definitely gives you dramatically different nourished skin!
I grabbed all 4 free gifts which meant I have 4 copies of Glamour Magazine, I'll keep one, and I'll give one to my niece, one to my local doctors and one to my local dentist (to put in the reception area). I know if I was to see a copy of Glamour whilst I was in a waiting room I'd pick it up!

So what do you think of the Clinique free gifts from Glamour Magazine this month (on sale in November. The December edition)? Will you be getting any? I hope so - You won't regret it. I promise.

These excite me so badly... My November GLOSSYBOX opening!

Hey Beauties!

Another Beauty Box Opening for you, Oh how I love these. I really hope you enjoy them too!
Inside this months Glossy Box we have 5 gorgeous little make up and body bits. I find it so difficult deciding which product to mention first, they are all pretty great... Decisons are hard... Help!

Lets start with the full sized treats which we have three of (although lets say 4 because of the eye palette).

First up is the Makeup Academy (MUA) Eyeshadow palette in Undressed. In this professional palette we have 12 gorgeous nude/neutral shades with a few metallics. There are cream/beiegy colours, brown, gold even grey... Something to please and suit everyone whether you want warm or cool tones. This promises to be a great palette for every girls collection, I can see how I would use this for day looks and night looks and I can't wait to try it. I have a few MUA products already (and when I say a few I actually mean LOADS! And they're all pretty darn great!).

Keeping our focus on the eyes, GlossyBox have added in Natural False Eyelashes by the very well known and accomplished brand Eylure. Thank you very much GlossyBox! They are strip lashes rather than individual and promise to give you sweet and subtle volume. Again - I have a few *cough cough* Eylure products and I'm super pleased with the look of these ones. I am excited. Again. Beauty Boxes make me so happy.

The next full sized product is Royal Apothic Body Lotion. And Ugh, I love the design on the packaging - It's so different and refreshing, although the actual tube itself reminds me of cream you might get from the pharmacy for one reason or another, lol. It's a moisturising lotion which has a fragrance to it, it's not an obvious natural smell like flowers, there's definitely a perfume smell to it. Its' not thick at all, it glides and soaks into the skin quite easily.

Lastly of the full-sized products is the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick. All GlossyBox subscibers got the choice of a few shades and the shade I requested was the 001 which is matte and its called 'Nude Attitude'.

And the last product within the box is a diamond heart primer by Emite. After putting it on the back of my hand I can see it is a peachy tone which will brighten the skins complexion, it's really illuminating, no wonder why they have called it the diamond heart primer. I'm pretty sure I have used an Emite product before that was in my GlossyBox a few months ago, I think it was a blusher (I'm pretty sure it was and I'm gutted I can't go into my make up collection and double check because it shattered and I had to throw it away) so I am super duper excited to try this out as I know it's gonna be good.

I know full well that I am going to enjoy trying out all of these products and I'll be back in a month to let you know my thoughts on them. I'm excited! Oh how I love new Beauty finds, I love Beauty Boxes, they are the best.
See you soon,
Have fun, Be good.

This Month's BirchBox!

Hey Beauties,

I had the email on the 5th of November from BirchBox to say that my box for this month has been dispatched, low and behold - the next day (within 24 hours) I took a small pink box from a friendly YODEL delivery guy. Instantly, it's recognisable. Especially as it has BIRCHBOX on the side... hehe.

Walking into my dining room I often wonder what is inside, it's a big secret. It didn't feel heavier than usual, and I couldn't hear any plastic packaging rattling about when I shook it gently. I just had to open it.

The Birchbox itself is gorgeous, they teamed up with Skinny Dip London (and personally I think they should team up more often - I love the box!). The lid is a deep purple shade, in the centre it has "Birchbox X Skinny Dip" which is slightly embossed in silver metalic. Then all over there is the infamous Skinny Dip London Shell's, one is slightly embossed in silver metalic and the others are gorgeous ombre shades of Purple, Pink and Blue. I love the box! There was another design which I'm sure you'll see on somebody else's blog/channel or even on the BirchBox site! Take a look - It's just as gorgeous!

Inside the box is the standard BirchBox string pull bag and insides that is all our goodies!

First up is the Thumbs Up Designer Nail Wraps Accent Pack in "Rosa", it contains 5 accent nail wraps in 5 different sizes - It's sure to fit! They're rather pretty actually; pink drawn on rose, on a white background. Where it's only a sample pack you can't do all 10 nails, which is slightly disappointing but still nice to have one or two nails looking a bit glam with the others painted a colour to match (White/pink).

Next up we have a Lord and Berry Lip Liner, it's transparent and called 'Silhouette'. This isn't a new beauty find of mine, although it is a different brand to the transparent lip liner I currently use which is by Essence. The Lord and Berry Lip Liner feels a lot smoother than the budget one I use, it also feels as though it will really help my lip sticks to stay put! I've got a feeling that this is going to be my favourite product in this November BirchBox.

Ooooh, which product to pick next... We have 4 more to choose from!

OK, So now we have Beauty Protector Beauty Cream for Hand and Body, it's a moisturizer and it says it's "A rich, nourishing body cream that will leave your skin soft, smooth and revitalized all day long". Very cute packaging, pure white bottle to make the pink images/writing stand out. You can smell it way before you even open it, and it smells devine! I can't really describe the smell, just that its sweet and feminine. The cream is thick, feels amazing and luxiourious. It's super easy to rub into the skin as well - perfect!

Another product for the skin is the Delarom Paris Creme Acquaconfort, it's says it is suitable for all skin types and has organic Aloe Vera. It's a thin cream for the face with a pleasant smell. Rubbing it into the back of my hand just then it's made my finger tips feel really soft and smooth! I think I'm going to enjoy using this product. Within the BirchBox is a little booklet and in the booklet is says to use this product "When your complexion feels a little sorry for itself, this rejuvenating cream uses almond, apricot oils and vitamin E to nourish and soothe dehydrated skin from the first use", clearly my finger tips are proof of that! I'm excited.

Second to last but by no means is it any less amazing is Absolution La Creme de Taint. It's another product for your face to enhance your skin and beauty in a no make-up make-up way. It's a moisuriser that is nude coloured, and it sort of melts into your face and gives you a slightly naturally flawless finish. It's basically a BB cream but I feel as if I'm going to throw away my Garnier BB cream and use this. Its feels great on the skin, coverage is good and it has a nice smell to it which is a huge bonus considering some of it will be applied directly under the nose, lol.

Last but not least, we have the Number 4 Lumiere d'Hiver Super Comb Prep & Protect spray. According to BirchBox it's a "does-it-all wonder product", which is a huge claim but a very exciting one! My hair needs all the help it can get at the moment, it's so dry I find it difficult to comb/brush and I'm in two minds about getting it cut. I love my long hair, if I can - I want to save it. If not, then I'll get it cut into a lob (long bob). Oh please, I pray to hair heavens that whatever I find to help please let it help! I have the 30ml spray bottle here, at £20 for the full bottle - I have huge expectionations, but I'll let you know if it performs miracles on my hair!

So there we have it, all 6 products that were in November 2015's BirchBox and lets not forget that they colaborated with Skinny Dip London to design their fabulous little boxes AND even phone cases (Yes, I kept that quiet - quite simply because I didn't upgrade my box to get a phone case because they wouldn't fit my phone - Boo!).

What do you think of this months BirchBox goodies? Personally I'm excited... I don't think I have ever used so many exclammation marks! lol.

My Multivitamins

Hey Beauties,

So, I decided last month to get some added vitamins in the form of tablets to *hopefully* stop me from being so tired. Of course, It's lovely to nap during the day (especially when the little one sleeps!) but it's not a great routine to take on (especially when the little one gets older and stops day time naps).

I wanted something with added Iron, that was the main supplement I was after because I am anaemic - anything else would be an extra bonus.
I bought Boots Multivitamins with Iron which is a 30 day supply for £2.05. After a number of days I started to notice a good effect on  my skin, but most of all I was less tired which was a great result but I caught a cold on the second day of taking the tablets. I had my cold for about 2 weeks which was horrible, I am a terrible sick person, I get "Man-Flu" lol. I carried on with the 30 day supply and yesterday I ran out, so I went back to Boots to see if they had something different to try, something with more for my immune system and skin.

I got a 30 day supply of Boots A-Z Tablets for £1.99. I was drawn to these because of the Iron, but also on the side it has a little information that says "B Vitamins and Vitamin C help to maintain energy levels, Magnesium helps to reduce tiredness and fatigue. Vitamin C and Zinc contribute to the normal function of the immune system. Vitamin B2 helps to maintain a healthy skin complexion. Biotin and Chromium helps a normal metabolism". All of that can only be a good thing right!? Today I took my first tablet, they are larger than the other ones but that's obvious considering they have more vitamins, minerals and all that good stuff in them. I'm looking forward to giving these a go!

Can I ask you something, though... Person to person, Why is that every time I even pick up a packet of supplements I get ill? I felt fine yesterday, I came out of Boots happy - went into other shops feeling great, came home and the sneezes began and now I have a full blown horrible cold, headache, congested nose and everything... I want my bed. And on that note...

Speak to you later my Beauties,

Be good! Have fun!
